oh this book...i had another in my hand when i saw this one displayed. id just lost a job i loved dearly...didnt want to think about it so picked up this book which surely would transport me to another world. maybe its a love story i thought. and then, it ended the way it did. i was at the beach when i got to the end. i couldnt believe it. i just couldnt believe it. that the universe would send me this when i needed it the most. this book gave me peace of mind reminded me of the injustices in the world, big or small and all of us that live through them are blessed to be able to walk away and start a new journey. i will forever be grateful for the Space Between Us.

When you can't put a book down, it must have something to it. I don't often read YA fiction, but I'm on a post-apocalyptic kick, so I thought I'd check it out and wasn't disappointed. Yes, there could have been a little more character development (I didn't really care whether anyone lived or died), and the protagonist was annoying at times (especially since it's first person). However, when you consider the kind of life Mary has led and the massive breakdown in what little life that was, it makes her irrational goals and decisions a little more understandable. Sure, there are some story lines left dangling, but this isn't a genre known for its answers, and the next two books answer some. Read my full review at: http://thebookreturn.wordpress.com/20...
