He is very philosophical but surprisingly easy to follow. He is very academic but not afraid to integrate his faith. He is trying to get Christians to take responsible action in the world just as Christ "the man for others" took action in the world, joining, condemning and reconciling it to God. I was glad to have a theological work justifying social action.
Enjoyable read. I bought into the arguement when I read the book. Further investigation into the claims cause a lot of doubt... But, still a good read.
arundhati roy's incisive analysis of globalization, trade policy, and the state of the state in india is bold, brave, and unique. i read this book when i was in india, and it gave me invaluable and hard-to-find information on how poor people continue to struggle for rights, government accountability, and even basic services in 'the world's fastest-growing economy'. an inspiring read that reminds you another world IS possible.
I love that not all stories have happy endings.
