I liked a whole book about teacher stories. I remember that many of the stories were about elementary school teachers though.

This was a well-crafted and satisfying conclusion to the Abhorsen Trilogy. We finally found out who Mogget is/was, and learn much fore about the history of the Old Kingdom. Yay. My only real critique in fact is that the thing ends. Nix had some good potential with Lirael and Nicholas, which he does probe some in the story from Across the Wall: A Tale of the Abhorsen and Other Stories , but it wasn't enough for me, insatiable sap that I am. Nix also throws in the bit about Sam being a Wallmaker but doesn't do a great deal with it except at the very end. So while I am happy to have reached the end of this story, I am also very sad. Hell of an awesome villain, though.
