I liked this book, but was a bit confused by the fact that it's sort of a novel broken up into short stories. The ending chapter is great, as is the one where a woman battles cancer (is it Jane?). Anyway, it was good, but I think it would have packed more of an emotional punch if it was a novel instead of a bunch of short stories.

am reading for a book club... update: am shelving it b/c it feels like a chore to read and that's not how I want to spend my time these days.
Oddly, I liked this book more than the recent Sookie book. Since I took a break from reading this one to plow through the other one, I guess I could directly compare them. I'm happy with the way this book ended and with this kind of story arc they are going for. I'm happy Haven is back. I'm happy that Edward was in it. Overall -- really happy with this one :-)
