The first book in the Vampire Chronicles is the best. I like these books because unlike other stories where the vampires are just simple evil creatures of the night, in Rice's books they are "normal" people who gradually lose their humanity when they become immortal. Though enjoying the taste of blood doesn't help the situation.
Excellent. Could not put it down.
