This is a meaningful book that has real characters who have a lot of faults. It tells the story of a fallible family who do the best they can with what they have. After reading it, I looked at my small apartment differently. Now as I hear confidential conversations through walls I feel a warm connection with the people in this book and with my neighbors in this world. We are all struggling through life at the same time. There will be good moments and there will be horrible moments. We can do small things to help each other through the mess.
