I listened to this translation of Beowulf by Seamus Heany and was completely taken in by the story. Very easy to understand (though not a light read/listen). A great story!
Claims a ton (and by this I mean an HOUR a day) cardio is the key to weight loss...so-so.
One of my all-time favorites.
Beautiful, compelling, lyrical. Themes of love, loss, memory. A novel about ex-slaves haunted by violent memories. Before the war, Sethe, pregnant, sent her children away to their grandmother in Ohio, whose freedom had been paid for by their father. Sethe runs too, but when her "owners" come to recapture her, she attempts to murder the children to keep them from captivity - she succeeds with one - Beloved. This murder will haunt Sethe for the rest of her life and affect everyone around her.
The absolute best guide to all things Access 2010. I cut my programming teeth with this book, and it's paid for itself over and over again--literally!
A website has been started with the private conversations of the citizens of Marlo. The story speaks to the repercussions when the spoken word hurts and the power of the tongue.
creepy as hell in a good way.
