I read this in my challenged book phase. I have since found out that it isn't a true story and that a doctor really wrote it so that kids won't do drugs. Overall, I was entertained while I read it, but it hasn't really stayed with me years later. My students love it though and there are four copies of it in the school library.
Stylistically wonderful. Transistions between past tense and present tense make the text rich and thought provoking. Although it's not my favorite Stephen King story, I think it is on of his best written stories.
