This book is my hands down favorite. It is his non-fiction account of the 3 week celebration of his 50th birthday flying his Grumman Albatross, named "The Hemisphere Dancer" around the islands of the Carribean and South and Central America. The book is written with a pilots perspective. One sees exactly where Buffet's come from and where he keeps his mind hidden. It is one of my favaorite books of all time simply because of its adventure and playfulness.
I enjoy Irving's books, I'm working my way through his writings. This story started out really good, but I couldn't get settled into it the way I have done with some of his other stories
