If you are looking for a twisted tale that takes place in another world, but want it to be grounded in the literature tradition, read this book. Even if you struggled with oddness of the story or aren’t used to the fantasy element, you will never find another fantasy/science fiction book that has such control over English language.
This book is very insightful, with wonderful quotes, stories, and analogies to help us understand the blessings of the temple in our lives. I would encourage every Latter-day Saint to read it.
