When a friend first suggested this book to me I figured that this would be another romance story with a splash of the supernatural thrown in (see Twilight). Luckily this wasn't the case. There was some romance, but it wasn't the driving force of the story. I had a hard time putting this book down. I enjoyed the setting and the whole Moroi, Stirgoi, and Dhampir idea and how they all interconnected was a pretty interesting idea. the author also did a good job of telling the story. I would recommend this for anyone that enjoys Urban Fantasy (and not just for the romantic elements).
