There were parts of this book I didn't like, but overall it was beautifully written, insightful, and inspiring. Oh, and funny.
This is one of the few books I remember reading as a little kid. I think I remember it because I was shy and I took longer to learn to read, just like the character. And, yes, I have this for my future kids.
It takes a while to get into it, but is completely worth your patience! I loved it!
