** spoiler alert ** First off, this book is really cool. It's in a journal from and it's about a young boy named Charlie. he's writing letters to an anonymous friend about his life and all his struggles.Charlie is a freshman in high school and he's not necessarily the coolest kid in the school. So he writes to his friend so he can have someone to talk to. this book is somewhat like The Catcher in The Rye. Charlie tells us all about his struggles with sex, alcohol, drug abuse and his family issues. He was known as the wallflower, someone who is secluded. that's until he meets Sam and her stepbrother, two seniors in his school. they teach him how to live his life and not be afraid of trying new things. i recommend this book to anyone. Its moving and funny at the same time. it's like you are right there watching everything charlie is going through. especially with the way he uses music to make himself feel better and to relate to his life. That's something that we all do. I Love this book!!
This is an extremely entertaining book. Even people that aren't fans of Bette Davis would enjoy this.
