I bought this crap for a long time. You can do this with any book.
** spoiler alert ** This wasn't as strong as the previous books because Katniss wasn't as active. Instead of being in danger most of the story and doing things for herself like the first two novels, she became more of a figurehead, a propaganda machine for the rebels in Mockingjay. Too much telling and not enough showing. Instead of being cooped up with the Rebels the whole time, Katniss should have run off and done her own thing. Why was she sitting around listening to what others wanted her to do? Also, with all the play up for the Katniss/Peeta/Gale love triangle that there had been in the previous books, I expected this book to really punch that home. It didn't. There's some mention of choices and whatnot, but the fact that Peeta isn't even with them for half the book and not himself for the rest really debilitated the ability to capitalize on all the work done in the previous novels. The ending was alright, but nothing great. Katniss wasn't a part of taking down the capital. She wasn't a major force in anything.
