when i read it in high school, it was an eye-opening novel, a breath of fresh air in my musty midwest environment. read it again recently and found it more entertaining than life-changing.
Stronger than the last installment, I enjoyed this story and it's conclusion of our main heroine's journey. I would have liked to see a little more character development, only because there was a lot of potential there. The last chapter was interesting and set the stage for Ash's journey but I'm not sure if I will pick up the next book. I'm tempted to just find out what happens in someone else's review.
Really interesting book with a great twist at the end.
I very strongly recommend this book to all. It's one of my favorites. The book looks like it is meant for children. However, it philosophies on life. Wonderful and enjoyable. I have lost count of the number of times I have read this book. If you are feeling low, pick it up and read it. It sure will bring a smile to your face. I have heard that Sir JRD Tata used to read this book everyday and it always was by his bedside.
