Definitely a book worth reading (3.5 rating). Mr. Boyd may take a few more words than necessary to get his point across, and he does--in my opinion--magnify a fact or two, but this should not detract from the overall message of the book. I found it helpful in formulating my thoughts on this subject.
Edward Abbey is not for everyone but I have loved each of the books I have read from him. Monkey Wrench Gang and Heyduke Lives are definitely my faves. AND I attribute Alex finally asking me out on a date to the fact that I loaned him this book!
