Since I picked up this book this morning and have already finished it, I would say it was a decent read! I am engaged by Kathy Reichs' books and like the tv series that loosely accompanies it.
It's very rare that I don't finish a book but in this case, I was happy to make an exception. I listened to about half of it and gave up. What a huge bore.
I'm brushing up on my skills.
Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho While inspiring in Coelho’s simple way, and a good read that I enjoyed coming home to at night and wanted to find out what happened, the story ended fairly predictably. I would have liked a little bit more surprise and complication. Life is not as black and white as depicted at times. There is a sense of naivete about madness, although the book was also refreshing and grounding to my spiritual sensibility.
