Since you enjoyed James Patterson’s Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas and Sam’s Letters to Jennifer, you might also like Sundays at Tiffany’s, which is another departure from his typical suspense books. Sundays at Tiffany’s by James Patterson is a great book in which imagination has been brought to life. Jane, a middle aged woman unsure of where life is taking her, sees a man one day that greatly resembles her childhood imaginary friend. Is it really him, though? It is available as an audiobook. Like many of Nicholas Sparks’ novels, this is a unique love story- a romance between a thirty-something woman and a man who perfectly embodies her childhood imaginary friend.
I absolutely found this book captivating. It is definitely a tragic beginning to this woman's life but her true self carries her through. I would love to know more of her story and that is why I want to read the adult version of the book(Falling Leaves). This book was definitely a Cinderella story with a mean stepmother, a father that wasn't there for her, fairy godmothers that believed in that she was a good child and very mean siblings and step-siblings. The only thing that it lacked was a prince charming. I hope that changed once she got older because the book ends while she is still fairly young. I loved the fact that she never gave up on herself. She is a wonderful writer pulling you through the book without realizing it.
