I always enjoy the books in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series. They are quick reads, and I like the characters and how they think differently from us. After reading something heavy, I like to read something like this. The books are going to be an HBO series. I'm looking forward to seeing it when they go to DVD.
if you dig right-wing conservatives that trump any argument by saying they are "Christian" and then use profanity while spiting on the graves of victims of 9-11. Then this is the book for you. Also, i think she is anorexic.
Seriously, this book is just too funny.
I did think this was a pretty cute book and even more delighted to see that it takes place in Tucson. I loved the Hokey Pokey theory of life and the relationship Meg found. I just thought the resolution between Meg and Ahmed was too quick considering how much description the author puts out.
This is not fast reading, but Faludi provides an interesting perspective on a variety of men (even Promise Keeper!).
