Loved it. Shel Silverstein is the best.
I first knew of Beagle as "that guy who wrote the introduction to the Lord of the Rings." Later, I found out that he's an excellent author as well. Strangely, I feel that everyone knows who he is, but very fer people actually read his work. This, of course, is a classic.
This book has great eye-catching pictures! It is a sweet book with unusual art work that young kids may not be exposed to otherwise. It was a great choice for this year's Caldecott.
