The first half or so was simply torturous...I suppose I got a bit more into it at the end, but still, this took me ten times as long as a normal novel to finish just because I felt no real incentive to read it all.
I have read this book a few times now, and I enjoy it every time. It is a great fairy tale. I think the few similarities with Cinderella are interesting, and I like what a genuinely nice person Ella is. I think that Charmont is a sweet prince. I like that they fall in love through talks and letters, rather than make-out sessions, drunk parties, and sarcasm. If only high school were like this fairy tale! :) This is a book that I can recommend to any young girl. It is light hearted and fun. There are some elements of danger, and the heroine is very smart and brave.
