very slow; I had to make myself plod thru the book. And then...yuk - what a horrible story and ending.
I enjoyed this book much more than I thought that I would. Loved the different characters and how they interact with each other. Jude irritated me at first and then really grew on me.
This is a sweet picture book about a Goose refusing to migrate with her family. When she is all alone, she is frightened, and then relieved to see that her mother has returned for her and promises to always be there for her. In a touching twist to the usual "Mommy will always love you" story, Lucy Goosey promises to care for her mother when she gets old. I almost want to send a copy to my parents! Sniffle.
