I was really into it the first several chapters. but not as excited about it by the end of the book for some reason. I like that each chapter addresses a different issue, so it's easy to put down and pick up later. I loved the chapter on problems associated with sleep deprivation- especially for kids. Some interesting insight into parenting and why kids behave the way they do using a variety of research studies.
Bloom Peters is a regular Earth girl, until the day she meets Stella Solaris, princess and fairy of Solaria, fighting an ogre in the park. When Bloom accidently releases a huge burst of magical energy, she realizes she has Winx power like Stella. So Bloom goes off to Alfea College for Fairies and meets three more friends: Flora Lavencense from Linphea, Musa Beatrock from Melody, and Tecna Binary from Zenith. But when the three Trix, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, try to steal Stella's scepter, it's up to the Winx to save the day! I've always been a fan of the Winx Club. I really don't know why, I just love it. But anyway, I like the idea of books summarozong TV shows. I think this one is a summary of episodes 1 to about 3 or 4. But yonestly, I like the show better. But I guess you can't beat the original. I'm gonna emd this off with a request. Kirsten! Remember to give me your Lockette and Amore dolls when you don't want them anymore!!
Another wonderful tale by Susan Vreeland. Love her story telling and depth of characters. A nice mix of fact and fiction and a delightful history of Tiffany Glass. Loved it. 4.5 stars
I read this as a child and just reread it with my daughters. It's still fantastic all these years later.
