The book itself was, even if it sounds weird and childish, a revelation for me, because after considering the subject of the vampires as being superficial I have discovered in this book something much more realistic. The story has roots, which makes her believable and makes us relate to the character. I felt so strongly caught in the story that I still can remember that feeling. Some people may consider it superficial but for me it has really struck a coard. More than ten years ago when I first read it there i only had the possibility to see it on a TV channel with a very very bad reception so I had to stare foolishly at the screen and barely see the actors. :) what can I say...teenagers, but this book has given me the bug of the vampire books and the bug has not really left me in all these years.
