A friend of mine at Pacifica Grad. Inst. turned me on to Ogden during my doctoral program. Ogden's work on the autistic-contiguous position is so interesting, well-explained, and imaginative. Check out his articles, too, on the web.
A great setting, fun characters and a rollicking adventure - Airborn has all of these. I love the alternate world where zepplins are the best form of air travel, and Matt Cruse (the Aurora's brave cabin boy) is a likeable narrator. Oh, and there are air pirates and a tropical island and plenty of action and a little romance. It's a great read.
