This was actually my favorite in the series so far. It was well thought out and flowed great. I have to say though that this is the first time that the main character in a series has ever really gotten on my nerves. I thought I would grow to love him or at least like him but I don't. I think he's weak and constantly vulnerable. Which says something for the author to put a main character out there that isn't the strong John Wayne cop type. It's inspiring and frustrating at the same time. With that said, I love all of the supporting characters. Susan's my favorite. She's smart and funny all in the right places. I love the "banter" between Henry and the ME. It was and incredibly creepy/gory book. But not pointless gore. There was a reason for everything. And it wasn't put there to just shock you for shock's sake. Gretchen was scary as ever and you don't understand her part until the very end and the fact that everyone in America is basically worshiping her just basically puts this dark crazy cast over the whole book. Like it needed it.
