fascinating book
Really enjoyable - I had seen half of the terrible movie that was based on this book, and was afraid I would hate this and think it cheesily romantic, and contrived and unintelligent. But I didn't - it had a good amount of historical context which I always like, and had dynamic characters that were used to tell a romantic story yes, but not overly romantic. Epic and fun. Intelligent quips.
