the best story about politics and society in all countries
I thought the author created a very clear and believable voice for this story. It felt very real and authentic to me. The story is difficult in that it deals with a barbaric practice and the hard lives of people living in a remote area. But it is rather beautifully written. The lives and relationships of the women are interesting to think about. I am SO grateful that I was born when and where I was!
