made me cry and cry. good. sad. a little mystery. drags on a tiny bit, but the good bits are so good, i don't care. beware of the sob-inducing chapter nearing the end of the book.

Main characters voice is very interesting. Note content in this book may not be suitable for all readers.

i received the book through goodreads giveaway "first read". i usually don't write reviews because i find it quite ironic that me, who cannot speak or write English properly should judge someone else hard work. So I'll start by saying that even though some things annoyed me, it's a good book. The story was lovely and had some good twist, i like Mrs Wray writing. What stop me from giving it 4 stars? LILY....i really didn't like her, i didn't like the constant comparison (I'm sure there is a word for it but at the moment it elude me ) she make about everything. I mean it's ALL the time, at one point she compare her reaction to Hilary Clinton arriving in Bosnia! but I'll be honest and say that it's more to do with my taste than Mrs Wray, after all this book is for teenagers, had i read that book when i was 15 it would have made me laugh, as it was by the end of the book i was very irritated. Still it take a good writer with a good story to make me continue reading with an annoying (main) character (i am not very forgiving in books, i don't have much free time) and i did continue until late at night. Hex, A Witch and Angel Tale was a nice change from the never ending series with the same love triangle, in 10 years time my Pixie will love it.

I remember these being one of my least favorite Heinlein books...a bit of a dissapointment given my love for most of his other writings. Going back to see if another decade makes any difference, or if it's destined for the used book shop. UPDATE: Put it down after the first few chapters and didn't pick it up again so shifting back to the "read" shelf. To be fair, we're in the midst of a cross country shuffle, so I can't fully fault the book. Will try again at some future date.
