Joy lucks club is an average book. It is an extremely easy read because the book is split into easily identifiable short stories. The short stories revolve around the same four mother daughter pairs (there are about four stories per mother daughter duo) but the none of stories are not connected. There is no connector throughout the book which makes it hard to keep reading because there is no mystery or problem waiting to be solved. I would only recommend this to females who are interested in a easy book to read.
This is my husband's and my brothers favorite book and I love it too. I reread it at least once a year.
