Nothing like the TV show, and that's a good thing. I read this whole series with my friend, and it was our guilty pleasure. That TV show is just out for cheap thrills.
This is a fun retelling to the classic gingerbread boy. In this version the gingerbread cowboy meets javelinas, lizards and ranchers on his way to meet up with a crafty fox. The kids quickly got into repeating 'giddy-up giddy-up fast as you can ...' refrain with each page.
