This is an interesting, super quick read which clarifies a little sliver of human psychology, namely how we express and wish to receive love. After reading this theory, it makes perfect sense. However, without the basic ideas set forth by Chapman, it is easy to see how we miss each other and sometimes inadvertantly hurt our loved ones. My friends were all talking up this book at our monthly dinner club and essentially demanded that I read it. After hearing their discussion, I mentally classified my family members as one type of love language. After reading the book, however, I found that I had pretty much incorrectly classsified everyone. I feel like I am better able to understand some of their actions and motivations now that I am armed with this knowledge.
