I gave this 2 1/2 stars but upgraded to a 3 on goodreads since there is no 1/2 stars.
This is a hilarious account of a sort of coming-of age kind of story told in a becoming-of-cook/chef sort of way. If you cook at all, you will find it really intersting and it's funny even if you don't cook. It actually made me want to go out and find Julia Child's recipes myself! synopsis: a secretary tries to cook all of Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking (524 recipes) in 365 days. Read-iculous.
I love the theory of the hero's journey and see it in so many stories! This book changed the way I look at literature completely. It was definatly a hard read though, especially as summer reading in high school.
