A fasinating look at the life of several different women living and working in China. Recommended to me by my very dear friend Marilou Parker, former librarian at West Ottawa Public Schools.
I really liked Donnelly's A Northern Light, so I had high expectations for this one and I wasn't disappointed. Her characterization and her ability to hold the reader in suspense are top notch. She seamlessly blended in the historical fiction aspect of the book and believably connected the two time periods. Now I want to read more about the French Revolution!
