This might have been the most difficult book I've ever had to read - not because the writing is difficult, but because it exposed to me how easily we are to becoming immune to even intense amounts of violence and hatred.

Liked the Mrs. Dalloway thing and I thought Nicole Kidmann played her role as Virginia Wolf beautifully. I think the movie was, perhaps, better than the book. But it was still a good read.
