I love Neil Gaiman, but I just don't like his short stories that much. Actually, I don't like short stories in general very much.
Non-gory horror genre entry. How far can/would you transform yourself for retribution/revenge? How far from religion/God would you travel?
It took time to get into the flow of things -- well, for me anyway. The use of nadsat - an invented slang used by teenagers in the book - was a nice touch or a source of headache as you try to understand the meaning. Luckily, there are resources you can print or refer to for guidance. "When a man cannot choose he ceases to be a man" Honestly, reading A Clockwork Orange was a bit hard because you're stuck with a narrator who is really unlikable. Plus, there's the language to deal with. I know that the book is about the "exploration of the morality of free will," but there's just something about violence that makes you not think about the message the book is trying to convey.
