This book is the sequal to Crank, by Ellen Hopkins. This series is about the perfect teenager, Kristina Snow, who after a visit to her dad becomes addicted to the monster, crystal meth. At the end of the first book she gives birth to her son Hunter, but she is barley 18 years old. Glass continues this story by explaining how her life changed drasticly when she thinks that she can handle her drug addiction. Kristina gets thrown out of her house and does not have enough money to aford an apartment, with her boyfriend Trey, without stealing money from any one. By the end of the novel, Kristina gets thrown into jail after the police find meth in the back her car where she lives in with Trey. After reading the first book I couln't wait to read the sequal. This series, is so interesting to me because this is a real life story of the Hopkin's daughter. This gives real examples of why drugs is so bad for you and how you think you have it under control but you really don't. The reading level was really good and easy to understand. It is reallly nice to read because it is in poetry form and there isn't much reading on one page. I really recommend to anyone who likes real life stories and very suspense full. To understand Glass, it would be good to read crack first. I really liked this book and I plan on reading her other books.
