To be honest I didn't really finish this one. I was 3/4 of the way in and realized I had started skimming pages...looking for good tidbits to hold my attention. I just didn't connect with the author/narrator and while some of her insights and the correlations she draws between books read and her life are interesting I just never felt fully invested. So I gave up and moved on to other books. As the author herself points out, time is short and there is so much to read. There's no sense in punishing ones self by forcing down a book where there just doesn't seem to be a connection between story and reader.
