I finished this in about a week and it was exactly the kind of fluffy mindless enjoyable chick lit that I thought it would be. That being said, it wasn't particularly well-written chick lit. You can tell that it was one of the author's first books. There were all sorts of loose ends and characters that went nowhere and then a super depressing subplot about a closeted gay man coming to grips with who he really is.
