true picture of Mumbai, especially the Jogeshwari slums.
One of my all time favorite books. I read it while in 10th grade. Opened my eyes to the whole new world of science fiction. Amazing language and unforgettable characters.
Though I'm a Claire Cook fan, this one seemed flat and lacked her usual humor. The story was uplifting in the power of friends (especially girlfriends) and reinventing oneself with a focus on what is important in life. But, I didn't feel like I really knew the main character that well and wouldn't we all love 18 months of pay but no work in order to figure out our lives. The ending seemed too easy and unrealistic.
