This one is hard to put down. An amazing story. Laura Hillenbrand noes how to put together a story.
This is the best book I've read that introduces a vital part of the Catholic Church--the Virgin Mary. It's a frank autobiography of Beverly Donofrio's journey about finding God and experiencing the unexplainable. Some of the book may include foreign and questionable concepts for those outside the faith but I think it's still cool to read if you want to learn.
Ironically, the book itself suffers IMO a bit from information overload, and the language is a bit woolly at times. But, if you are into the subject, nonetheless well worth reading as it covers lots of topics.
So I'm actually really enjoying these books. I mean maybe I'll feel differently around book 30 but these early ones are pretty entertaining.
I never had to read this Hemingway novel until I was a student teacher! It was easy to read, but I didn't love it. I think that is because even though the themes were powerful, the actual plot of fishing wasn't.
