I remember that we once read this book in 6th grade for english class. That was a mistake, because even though i enjoyed it, I know now that there is much more to this book than meets the eye. It refers to topics that are just beginning to come to a forefront in today's society. It refers to and looks at when we all try to hard to be the same, when we all try too hard to prevent pain and bliss, and when the government tries to make life to perfect. It leads everyone to wonder what life really is, and when life is no longer worth living. This book is unsuitable for a 6th grader, for a 6th grader cannot understand its concepts.

I listened to the audio version of this book. It was pretty good. Val Kilmer is a good job as Zorro, but the actor who played mother of Zorro's love interest was not very convincing. Fun, quick, entertaining listen.
It is a book on how cultures impact people and especially a book on pop culture. The book is thought provoking and written intelligently. Interesting read! At times, gets heavy in terms of its flow.
Takeshi Kovacs, hardboiled mercenary, joins a plan to recover an alien starship, but its located between two fronts in a war where new types of (illegal) evolutionary nanoweapons are being used. A number of twists before the ending keep it fresh. Morgan's writing about Kovacs is a bit more sympathetic in this novel, though the world he inhabits is just as brutal as Altered Carbon. Militaristic Noir?
