I liked this story of yet another weretiger, Kody, finding his mates. His problems are different, but no less aggravating than those experienced by weretigers in previous volumes. This book reveals more details about the vampire world of this series, which was interesting, but I missed the emotional intensity of the previous two books. Kody was quite clearly in such a bad situation, previous abuse having almost 'prepared' him for more of the same. It takes him a while to learn how to stand up for himself, but it's essential that he does. At least Marc, one of his vampire mates, is more supportive than Conley. The latter, quite honestly, is a complete asshole. Even though he sort of redeems himself by the end, I didn't see him change or grow. He just seems to adapt to the new situation. I don't know what it was, but I just couldn't connect, and that definitely stopped me from enjoying the story more. Anyone who likes a bit of mystery, (cat) shifters, vampires and hot three-way sex will probably like this book.
