Pendragon Gargoyles serisindeki ilk kitap oldukça ilginçti. Hikayenin kendisini ve karakterleri severdim. Kız kardeşlerin birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerinden gerçekten keyif aldım. Bu kızların birbirlerine karşı hissettikleri kızgınlık ve sevgiyle tamamen bağlantı kurabilirim. Bu kitabın yazıldığı mizah ona harika bir ton kazandırdı. Ve kız kardeşlerin çılgın süper güçlerle uğraşmaları, kitabın sunduğu şeylerin sadece küçük bir kısmıydı.

I read this book for one of the classes that I'm currently taking for Bible College. It's an amazing book filled with inspiring and practical passages. I wasn't really expecting much when I began reading this book, but I'm so glad that I did. I would recommend this book to everyone seeking to live a life of grace.
High school senior Piper becomes the manager of a rock band at her high school, when she impresses the lead singer with her savvy about getting them paid gigs instead of just performing "for the exposure." But things get complicated--for one, Piper is deaf, and she doesn't know all that much about managing a rock band! Then there are personality conflicts within the band, and at home Piper is upset to learn that her parents have used her college fund to get cochlear implants for her deaf baby sister--jeopardizing Piper's chances of getting into Gallaudet University, the premier college for deaf students, as well as making Piper feel even more cut off and different from her family, now that her sister will grow up in the hearing world. I really liked the way this story showed you inside the world of rock music and inside the world of growing up deaf, intertwined. A very unique concept to show what music feels like to the hard of hearing; the book has great descriptions of how Piper experiences music and how she learns about the ins and outs of the recording industry. It's also just plain funny--Piper is a great character!
