I actually really liked this book. I like it because I didn't guess the ending. That often happens and it annoys me. Very engaging.
Damn that hubris!
Learned a lot about Jewish customs, attitudes, memories of the holocaust, and the many reasons that this lampshade, DNA-tested positive as made of human skin, could not, will not and should not be displayed in any museum.(I would disagree, but if Holocaust victims say "no", I bow to their opinions. I think the principle that impressed me most was that, after the Holocaust generation passes on, there will be no one alive to emphasize that it really did happen, and there might be rewritten history. It seems the Nazi's, the White Supremists, and all other deniers of the event, are still very active in the world.
