This book was a really extensive look into the Women Pilot's of World War II. It covers all aspects from beginning to end and gives an in-depth look to the personal side. I loved it for its detail of everyday life for these women and also for the heroic ferver it incited.
I'm going at this one again. Mounce is a great teacher, and the cd is funny, giving songs to memorize with that are veyr entertaining. I wish I had had him in school. i bet he was a blast in person.
I finally gave up on this book - which it pained me to do - but I do really like to read, and so when it became apparent that I was never reading because I simply hated the book on my nightstand, it was time to quit. It's not that this book was not interesting; it sort of was. It was just so poorly presented, tied together into a story, and made relevant, that I simply do not understand how so many people read through the entire thing, much less rate it well.
Third in the Heather Huffman series and the most independent of the series. Connects briefly with Jailbird and Suddenly a Spy, but the overall storyline is very different from the other three.
