Someone recommended this book to me and I was a little disappointed. I thought the storyline was interesting but it just didn't move fast enough. I thought the historical parts of the book told by Ann Eliza Young dragged on a bit. I did like how the intertwined a modern day story with that of the historical parts but overall this was not my favorite.
This book was pretty good. As with all self-help books there's tips and tricks to gleam, and those to gloss. I liked how she talked about SAHM position is a choice and happiness is a choice. Must choose everyday day. Also with all Dr Laura books she uses her condescending critical tone, so don't take it personally when she makes you feel less than perfect. I don't think that's her goal, but it sure comes across that way. I love being a SAHM. I love being with my children. I am grateful everyday for a husband who works hard to provide an amazing life for us.
