So good! A friend recommended this book and I am so glad she did. This is a story told in 3 parts by three different people over the span of 10 years. The first is Paul, the father of Fenno, Dennis and David and wife of Maureen. The second is Fenno, one of the sons who moves from Scotland to NYC. And the third is Fern, an American who intersects with a number of the characters in unexpected and surprisingly not cliche ways. There is a constant flipping from the past to the present .. and this story is like a puzzle that is slowly put together as you read all the pieces. I have been lucky to read an awful lot of wonderful books lately.
