Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a young adult vampire book. It reads like the best fanfiction you've ever read. It feels like a spinoff from another story with the same characters where the vampire and the human girl get to stay together in the end. Also, even though she is a mere human and all the vampires are at least a hundred years old, fantastically rich and incredibly talented, almost all of them adore her and think it's great that their fellow vampire is in love with her. No wonder this book and its sequel New Moon are so popular with teenage girls. This is fluff reading at its finest.
Can't say I really read this. I couldn't get past the first couple of pages. Granted, the author worked really hard to write what she did. I just couldn't spend that much time and effort with a book. Maybe I just hit it at a bad time. Anyway...
Very cute book, will make you cry! And also will make you think twice about ever getting a dog - especially a lab!
