Ordinarily I love Mary Stewart's books; however, this one falls flat. I believe (though I could be mistaken) that this was one of her earlier books that was later re-published after her later successes. Although it is an enjoyable read, many of her other books are far better.

it's fun to read about their experiment. for some reason, i wasn't the hugest fan of either of their writing styles- they just seemed less genuine somehow. but, it's good information and makes you want to move to the northwest. and live on a farm.
